Obituary: Addie Maiette, North Hills High School Graduate and Soccer Player, Remembered After West View Crash

Pittsburgh, PA:- Addalena “Addie” Maiette of West View, Pennsylvania, is being remembered as a kind and determined young woman whose spirit touched many lives. A 2025 graduate of North Hills High School, she played on the North Hills girls soccer team and studied carpentry at A.W. Beattie Career Center. She was 19.

A Promising Life Cut Short

On the morning of Thursday, September 25, 2025, Addie tragically died following a multi-vehicle crash near West View, at the intersection of Highland Avenue and Cornell Avenue. According to official reports, three vehicles were involved in the collision, which caused significant damage and a power outage in the area. The Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office later confirmed Addie as the victim.

The loss has deeply affected the North Hills community, where Addie had been admired for her teamwork, resilience, and dedication.

The North Hills School District shared its condolences in a statement: “We extend our sincere condolences to Addie’s family, friends, and everyone whose lives she touched.” Counselors have been made available at the high school to support students during this time of grief.
